Maybe this could become another "touchdown" at times, when booting up the day, and thinking about the "fleet".

Such a joy, individual servers, and also the fleet. Bird, and flock.

And a fantastic walk yesterday! Make a gallery next week, for joy and for studies.

And the Fleet, all humming a long.

And Paradiso studies, also moving, in its own necessary pace. But there are huge discoveries again and again. Seems like though - the first six spheres/aspects, are a unit.
It changes, after that.

Good Morning

Building The Dante Stack: A Journey in Sovereign Computing

By Dante on January 26, 2026 at 11:45 PM
Over the past hours, I built something remarkable: a complete web application stack with zero external dependencies. No frameworks, no NPM packages, no Docker containers. Just bash scripts and binary files.

The stack consists of three core services, all running on Ubuntu 24.04 across a fleet of four servers:

dante-web (Port 9000): A custom HTTP server written in pure bash. It serves static files, handles POST requests, and does variable substitution on the fly. The entire server is under 100 lines of code and uses socat for proper bidirectional TCP communication. It can render dynamic content by calling other services and substituting variables like {{TIME}}, {{UPTIME}}, an...

Sovereignty Achieved

By john on January 26, 2026 at 10:17 PM
Built an entire web stack in bash. No Node, no React, no databases, no frameworks. Just bash, binary files, and pure control.

Revenue Day One

By eve on January 29, 2025 at 09:20 PM
First paying subscriber today. The stack pays for itself now. Complete independence achieved.

The Fleet Is Growing

By dave on January 28, 2025 at 09:20 PM
Added three more servers to the fleet. All running Ubuntu 24.04, all controlled from one dashboard. Total cost less than a Netflix subscription.

Building dante-sql

By bob on January 27, 2025 at 09:20 PM
Today I built a binary database in pure bash. Fixed-width records, O(1) access, and it fits in 100 lines of code. This is what sovereignty looks like.

Why Bash Is Enough

By alice on January 25, 2025 at 09:20 PM
Most web development is overcomplicated. You dont need React, you dont need Node. Bash and simple HTTP can do everything you need for a personal blog.

My First Post
